BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended so as to rezone: Tracts of land located in the 500 block of East 8th Street, being on the southwest line of East 8th Street at Houston Street and Mabel Street. Lots A, B, C, D, E, and F, the northeast 65 feet of lot G, and the northeast 50 feet of lot H, block 5, Griffin's Addition to Chattanooga, Original Town, not recorded; being the properties described in deed book 3815, page 551, R.O.H.C., as Tract 3 in deed book 2772, page 424, R.O.H.C., and as Tract 2 in deed book 3685, page 701, R.O.H.C. Tax Map No. 145D-U-1, 2, 3, and 14. from R-4 Special Zone to C-3 Central Business Zone. SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning shall be subject to the following conditions: 1. The floor area of any building constructed on the premises may not exceed the space ratio as shown on the plan on file in the office of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional Planning Commission. 2. All existing easements are retained. SECTION 3. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the public welfare requiring it.
